I was the sole researcher and author of the article. Published in Discentes, University of Pennsylvania's Classics Journal, in 2022.

I worked for three years with Professor Donovan Schaefer at the University of Pennsylvania and fellow student researcher Justin Seward researching how Confederate monuments were written about in Black newspapers from the Reconstruction period through the modern day. The results of our research have been typed up in numerous essays which can be found at the website and interactive map linked above.
